This program is anchored in three core principles.
1. All adults are “parents” while in the presence of a child.
2. Parent-child connectedness grows healthy and happy children.
3. Mindful Parenting is a life-time practice
This program is uniquely designed in order to help you:
While “mindfulness” is a term that has roots in ancient spiritual and psychological practices from a broad spectrum of cultural, religious and philosophical traditions, MPHC should not be mistaken for a religious movement. In recent decades mindfulness has become the subject of much research and clinical application in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, mental health, and medicine. The value of mindfulness practices has been confirmed by numerous scientific studies. According to Daniel Siegel, M.D., “mindfulness can be cultivated through many means, from experiences within attuned relationships, to approaches in education that emphasize reflection, to formal meditation.” (The Mindful Brain, 2007)
Mindful parenting provides the key to raising happier and healthier children. Why we should all be dedicated to this goal is no mystery. Insecure, anxious, unstable children grow up to be insecure, anxious, unstable adults. More than anything else, the future of the human race and our planet depend upon how well we do as parents, teachers and mentors of children.
We invite you to join us in growing healthier and happier children, stronger families, positive adult-child relationships, and ultimately, more compassionate and harmonious world!
